Annual Regular Membership -- $15

Hinton Municipal Library Card A membership fee of $15/year is available to residents of Hinton and Yellowhead County MD 94. Your library card entites you to membership in The Alberta Library. Visit us at the circulation desk and become a member today!

Library Membership Form (PDF)

Children 16 years old and under as well as HCHS membership application forms will require the signature of a parent or guardian.

Student Memberships

We offer the following student memberships:

Harry Collinge High School (HCHS) -- FREE
HCHS memberships are FREE to all HCHS students and allow full membership privileges due to a partnership between the library and the Grande Yellowhead School Division #35.
K-12 Membership -- $5
Available to all local Kindergarten to Grade 12 students. Card allows loans of up to 5 books & 3 videos/DVDs. No holds permitted. This card is intended solely for the use of the cardholder and not for family members.

Platinum Membership -- $50

Enjoy unlimited loans as a Platinum Cardholder! As well, receive even more in "value-added" Library services such as advance notice of Library programs & events, personal notification of New Arrivals and more ...

Gold Card Membership -- $25

Become a Gold Card member and receive even more in "value-added" Library services such as increased borrowing privileges (25 books & 10 movies), advance notice of Library programs & events, personal notification of New Arrivals and more ...

Temporary Membership -- $35

Just visiting Hinton?
A temporary membership card is available for up to 6 months at a cost of $35. When you have returned all library materials and cleared your account, we will refund $20.

Newborn Baby Library Membership -- FREE

Hinton Library believes that "literacy starts at birth" and offers a free membership to babies who live in Hinton, Entrance, Robb & Cadomin.

The Alberta Library Card -- FREE with Membership

When you join the Hinton Municipal Library, you automatically receive membership in The Alberta Library (TAL) which provides access to almost all Alberta Libraries at no extra charge!

Use your TAL card to borrow materials at any participating library--return the materials to the Hinton Library on or before their due date. We'll return them to the library you borrowed them from at no extra charge to you!
